Do not get advice from a coward. He will discourage you and exaggerate those challenges which can be overcome.لا تُشْرِكَنَّ في رَأْيِكَ جَباناً يُضْعفُكَ عَنِ الْأَمْرِ وَ يُعَظّمُ عَلَيْكَ مَا لَيْسَ بِعَظيمٍ

Do not get advice from a coward. He will discourage you and exaggerate those challenges which can 

be overcome.

In this quote the Imam is recommending leaders (whether in business, politics or the military) to avoid taking advice from those who are timid or pessimists. At the same time, he’s describing the psychology of a person with a negative mentality, who’s always looking at the “empty half of the glass”. And how this person might spread his negativity to others.

لا تشركن في رأيك جبانا يضعفك عن الأمر و يعظم عليك ما ليس بعظيم

لا تحصل على المشورة من جبانا. وقال انه سوف يثني عليك والمبالغة تلك التحديات التي يمكن التغلب عليها.

في هذا الاقتباس الإمام يوصي القادة (سواء في العمل أو السياسة أو الجيش) لتجنب أخذ المشورة من أولئك الذين هم خجول أو المتشائمين. في الوقت نفسه، انه يصف علم النفس من شخص بعقلية السلبية، الذي يبحث دائما في "النصف الفارغ من الكأس". وكيف أن هذا الشخص قد انتشرت السلبية له للآخرين.
